Scope and Content Note
The Anton Gloetzner Music Manuscripts consist primarily of holograph scores, parts, and sketches for Gloetzner’s sacred and secular compositions, dating from approximately 1870 to 1920. Additional items include holograph scores for his arrangements of works by Johannes Brahms, Franz Liszt, Josef Rheinberger, and Richard Wagner. All processed materials are cataloged seperately, and each item is identified by its LCCN number and linked to its catalog record. A significant quantity of unprocessed sketch material remains; descriptions of these items will be added to the finding aid at a later time.
