Sound and video recordings from the Ira and Leonore S. Gershwin Trust Archive have been transferred to the Library of Congress Motion Picture, Broadcasting, and Recorded Sound Division, where they are identified as part of the Gershwin Trust Collection (MAVIS no. 15184). The world's preeminent body of primary source materials for the study of the life and work of the Gershwins, it contains manuscript scores, scripts, correspondence, business papers, photographs, programs, and other documents. The Ira Gershwin Files from the Law Office of Leonard Saxe relate primarily to Ira's personal legal affairs and the activities of the Rose Gershwin Testamentary Trust from 1948 to 1968.
