Related Material
Additional performance programs for theater and dance are available throughout the Library of Congress. Three collections are located in the Rare Books and Special Collections Division: the Richard L. Coe Theater Programs Collection, which includes twentieth-century theater programs of the United States; the Theater Programs, Playbills and Miscellany from the Rouben Mamoulian Collection, 1942-1982; and the Rare Books Division’s own collection of programs.
In the Music Division, the Herbert H. Coburn Collection of Dance Programs and the Celia Ipiotis and Jeff Bush Eye on the Arts Archive have extensive numbers of performance programs. Programs are strongly represented throughout Music Division collections, but especially in the collections of dance critics, such as the Alan M. and Sali Ann Kriegsman Papers and the George Jackson Papers. Additionally, the Music Division has accumulated its own reference collection of dance and theater programs dating from about 1900 to the present.
