Eero Saarinen book project, 2005-2008 | Over 700 images were selected by Balthazar Korab to document 19 projects designed by architect Eero Saarinen. The images were digitized by CSC of Chantilly, Virginia using an overhead capture Sinar 54 digital camera beginning in 2008. Each was scanned at a resolution of approximately 5,000 pixels on the long side with the short side scaled in proportion. |
Nitrate Film Negatives | All nitrate film (about 650 frames) has been scanned in entirety at a medium resolution, displayed as computer generated contact sheets. High resolution scans from this film can be purchased through Duplication Services. For safety reasons, nitrate negatives are not served. |
Balthazar Korab Original Digital Materials | The collection has a small component of optical discs that contained approximately 1,200 born digital and supplied surrogate images, as well as presentation files. Image quality reflects that of the original file provided on the optical disc. |
Digitized On Demand | Images that have been digitized in response to researchers' purchase of reproductions and created in the course of Library of Congress special projects. |
