Rights Restrictions
The textual records that were made by individuals working for the federal government are in the public domain. Documents created by non-federal organizations or individuals not working for the federal government may be under copyright restriction. Privacy and publicity rights may apply. The Prints and Photographs Division does not have rights information at an item level for this material.
Access Restrictions
The collection is open to research.
In 2017, the Library of Congress arranged for digitization of the microfilmed portion of LOT 12024. Digitized copies of the microfilmed portion of this collection are available through links in this finding aid. Digital or microfilm versions of the documents are served in order to preserve the fragile originals.
Four boxes were not microfilmed: LC reference correspondence, 1944-1946, and duplicates (boxes 31-33, oversize box 12). These can be viewed in the Prints and Photographs Reading Room after submitting a call slip with assistance from reference staff.
