Arrangement
The Visual Materials from the Edward L. Bernays Papers is organized in 4 LOTs:
- LOT 14199 (F): Photographs, Prints, and Drawings contains loose photographs, prints, and drawings dating from 1890-1995. These images are grouped by subject with approximate date ranges as can be determined.
- LOT 14200 (F): Albums contains photographs and drawings from disbound photo albums. Each of the 9 subLOTs are a separate album. They range over a wide time span (ca. 1890-1995), covering both professional and family activities. There is no discernable order in the albums; however the photographs were kept in original order to preserve the intellectual integrity of the albums. Many of the photos in the albums duplicate images in either the loose photos or in other albums.
- LOT 14201 (F): Hawaii Album contains the photographs rehoused from the Bernays' family photo album documenting his trip to Hawaii in the summer of 1950. The photographs were arranged in original order.
- LOT 15019 (H): Oversize Photographs contains the oversized loose photographs that were separated from LOT 14199 to be rehoused in a larger container. These images are grouped by subject and were taken between 1913 and 1976.
