The interview includes Clara Adams' memories of growing up in Baltimore, Maryland, attending Morgan State University and Iowa State University, where she held a fellowship at the Ames Laboratory. She remembers her career as a research chemist, becoming the first female faculty member in the chemistry department at Morgan State University and the changes at the university while she was vice president of academic affairs.
