MS04: Sparsely written diary by veteran during his service in the Army during
World War I. Although the diary is labeled 1917, some entry dates have been
crossed out and made 1918. Beginning on August 27, 1917, the diary starts as
Miller awaits the train for Fort Benjamin Harrison and ends on April 7, 1918, a
month after his arrival in France. Topics covered include daily activities,
moments such as embarcation and training camp, and Miller's thoughts and
feelings during his military service. |
