The Acquisition Records include bound volumes of various types of orders for Library materials. These include letterpress volumes of orders, bound copies of purchase orders, and bound book orders with domestic and foreign dealers and publishing houses. The series also includes collection catalogs that are lists of various collections to be purchased or exchanged with other libraries or organizations. Also included are registers of invoices volumes which include ledgers of invoices, with their amounts owed and dates, listed alphabetically by dealer or publisher.
Material types include letterpress copybooks, vouchers, purchase orders, collection catalogs, invoices, and ledgers. Many of the older volumes are fragile.
Arranged by type of material and then chronologically.
