Remarks and lectures delivered by Thomas form a large part of this series, though they are often undated and incomplete. Where possible, complete speeches were dated and filed chronologically. Programs, schedules, and logistic material related to the events at which Thomas spoke are sometimes included. Scripts, programs and invitations from annual Gridiron Club dinners are contained in this series, as are documents reflecting the many honors, awards, and honorary degrees bestowed upon Thomas. Photographs, clippings, and the program associated with Thomas’s winning of the National Press Club’s Fourth Estate Award and material documenting her election as the first female president of the Gridiron Club are also included in this series.
