In addition to being awarded both the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the National Medal for the Arts, Stevens was also named a Knight Commander of the British Empire and received medals from the governments of Austria, Germany (West), Italy, and Sweden. Stevens was granted at least 13 honorary degrees, including one from the University of Michigan, an institution he briefly attended. Also found in this series are awards for shows Stevens produced, including a Drama Desk award for Annie (1977); an Outer Critics Circle award for She Loves Me (1994); and Tony Awards for Death of a Salesman (1984) and On Your Toes (1983).
