Note: Drawing shows a medical treatment similar to acupuncture, with heat used instead of needles. The older woman on right burns incense, used to heat cotton then applied to the body. The man has small dots on his back indicating where the cotton has been applied.

Note: Caricatures of men, including military officers, conductors, coachmen, priests, knights, and jockeys, usually with shadows in the shape of animals. One of the men has the body of an umbrella and another of a grasshopper. Some of the caricatures are annotated with the names Max Levinson, Clementi, Jacques de Zaghet, Alexandre Capraro, Alexandre de Zaghet, Max (or Ernest) Lavisse, and Bongue Alexandre Pastre (Directeur).

Note: Elephants, boats and people gathered at Schuykill River (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) in front of temple; the Philadelphia Museum of Art is the background. In 1923 Hugh Ferriss was hired by Harvey Wiley Corbett on a project to design a full-scale reproduction of King Solomon's temple and citadel, as a symbol of piety and peace for the Philadelphia Sesquicentennial Exposition of 1926.
