Note: Nine-panel cartoon shows the exploits of a French military man. In the first panel, a soldier in a fur hat receives a horse from a French cavalry soldier. Then three French cavalry men stand, their long swords draped on the ground as their officer gives them orders. In the third panel, a French cavalry man rides a burro to the top of a mountain, as a peasant marches beside him. Troops march to the top of a nearby peak. As French troops advance, soldiers wearing fur hats attempt to move a cannon lying on the ground in the snow. Meanwhile, as a cavalryman in a fur hat approaches, a French soldier watches as his cannon starts to fall off the mountainside. In the sixth panel, the two soldiers work together to retrieve the cannon, using the horse. The horse topples from the strain. In the eighth panel, a man cares for the injured horse as the two enemy soldiers look on. In the last panel, both soldiers, formerly enemies, ride the horse together.
