| Photographs of guests; producer/moderator Lawrence Spivak; moderators Ned Brooks, Ruth Jackson, and Martha Rountree; and the television audience on the set of the public affairs television program entitled The Big Issue in 1953. Guests included mostly national leaders, members of Congress, government officials, and ambassadors. The program featured a debate between guests on the opposing sides of an issue and included questions from a panel of journalists and sometimes the audience. Topics of "Big issue" included the Korean War, economic policy, civil rights, juvenile delinquency, and civil defense. Also includes photographs of special programs moderated by Lawrence Spivak: "Election '56," "Is revolution in the U.S.S.R. possible or impossible," a program for Northwestern University alumni, and a show on the Pentagon Papers.
