This error being necessairly transplanted into the South wing for the Sake of Symmetry [...], it follows that the Center line, beginning in the Center of the East front which is correctly built cannot pass through the building. It must end at [...] to which point it runs parallel to the south front & regulates all the Walls. The center line towards from thence must be drawn square with the West front, & regulate the Walls westward. The error is 8 and 3/4 inches."
