Horse farm, arches in Palo Alto, Calif.--probably on Stanford University campus. Landscapes and train at Mt. Tamalpais, Calif.; sea lions on beach, dwellings, and store windows in Calif. San Francisco Chinatown. Boats on Columbia River, Washington. Yellowstone National Park landscapes, including geysers, rivers, canyons, frost-covered trees; Park tour showing teamsters, wagons, stagecoaches, camping party, tourists--including Johnston--and guides.

Summary: Portraits, including individuals reading, artists with their work, a mother and children. Groups, including children, standing outside buildings. Interiors of workshops--one showing decorations and tools hanging from ceiling, another focusing on fireplace. Women operating presses and stitching books in bookbinding operation; men typesetting; men breaking up stones, mixing cement, and building stone structure. (Roycroft was an artist colony devoted to producing handcrafted items.)
