Artists whose work is represented include Paul Arlt, Richmond Barthé, Anne Beadenkopf, Peter Cohen, John O'Hara Cosgrave II, Allan Rohan Crite, Lee Hill, Melvin Gray Johnson, William H. Johnson, Horace Pippin, Caroline S. Rohland, Vandercook (possibly), Ali Warren, and Ellis Wilson. Includes photos of portrait paintings of NAACP officials, including Juanita Jackson Mitchell, Thurgood Marshall, Walter White, and Roy Wilkins. Also includes photographs of portraits of prominent African American scientists and entertainers.
