A leaflet addressed to German prisoners of war urging them to reject the authority of the Nazi regime in order to prepare for the reconstruction of post-war Germany. In French. (Undated)
Folder 5: Aachen ruft zum Kampf gegen Hitler. Komitee der Bewegung Freies Deutschland für den Westen. A flyer urging German resistance to Hitler after a German army general was removed from command because he wished to surrender the city of Aachen to the Americans in order to prevent civilian casualties and the destruction of historical sites. Folder 7: An Alle Deutschen in Gross-Paris Der Komitee “Freies Deutschland”. A leaflet announcing to German soldiers that with the uprising in Paris commanded by the F.F.I., their position in France has become more perilous. Hitler has betrayed them to their enemies, justifying their desertion.
Folder 8: An die Männer der Wehrmacht an der Westfront! Das Komitee der Bewegung “Freies Deutschland”. A leaflet appealing to German soldiers that after the surrender of Gen. Cholditz in Paris they should hasten the end of a lost war by deserting.

Folder 14: Folgt dem Heldenhaften Beispiel des Hauptfeldwebels Fischer! Komitee der Bewegung “Freies Deutschland” für den Westen. A leaflet urging German soldiers to follow the example of Captain Fischer who detoured the shipment of 4,000 grenades on Aug. 8, [194?] who was subsequently captured and shot. Also attached is a free pass to safely enter Allied lines as a prisoner. (Undated)

Folder 18: Kameraden, Macht Schluss mit den Kriegsverlängern! Komitee der Bewegung “Freies Deutschland” für den Westen. A leaflet with a published letter dated Oct. 14, 1944 to a German officer asking him to surrender his unit to the Allies who will treat them according to the terms of the Geneva Convention. The letter’s offer was rejected by this officer and the leaflet urges his men to desert. (Undated)

An official order from General Eisenhower proclaiming that with the entry of his forces into Germany all Nazi government agencies are stripped of their authority, and all courts and educational institutions are suspended. Military and Party leaders, Gestapo and others accused of atrocities will face trial. Resistance to Allied forces will be ruthlessly crushed.
