Subseries 6: Perishable Press, Ltd. Books, 1964-2011 and undated
This subseries includes a full run of the 131 books published through the Perishable Press, Limited. Each copy is annotated by Hamady. In addition to the Perishable Press books, this series includes Reading, by Toby Olson and Poetry Through Typography, by Hermann Zapf. The former was published by Friends of Typography, an experiment undertaken by one of Hamady’s class of students at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. The latter was included with the run of Perishable Press books by Hamady himself.
Materials include books and artists’ books; trial bindings; unbound copies and related materials.
Arranged chronologically, with the exception of larger items, which can be found in Series 3, Box 47.
