Margaret Rupli Woodward collection
Scope and Content Note
Series One, Sound Recordings, consists of three recordings containing the sounds of Margaret Rupli Woodward's NBC radio broadcasts along with an interview with Woodward conducted in 1948. Series Two, Paperwork, contains transcripts of her Holland broadcasts for NBC in 1940 along with photographs and telegrams dating from her time there. Series Two, Paperwork, also contains notes from a speech Woodward gave at Goucher Chapel in September 1940, research materials, and two articles by David H. Hosley dated 1980-1982 and pertaining to Woodward and other American female radio correspondents in Europe, further biographical material and correspondence from 2002, and two letters written in celebration of Woodward's 100th birthday.

Biographical Note
Margaret Rupli Woodward was a journalist who served as a war correspondent for NBC radio in Holland from January to May of 1940. She also worked for the U.S. Labor Department, the State Department, and for the U.S. Foreign Service in Canada.
