Scope and Content Note
Scores, lead sheets, sketches, parts, and lyric sheets, mostly for original compositions and arrangements by Strayhorn and Duke Ellington. Manuscript materials in the hand of either Strayhorn or Ellington are identified wherever possible. Scores and lead sheets by other composers, including Luther Henderson, Louis Bellson, Don Gais, and Willie "The Lion" Smith, are present as well.
