Scope and Content Note
Letters, notes of indebtedness, commissions, and bills. The card catalogue in the Manuscript Reading Room has an index of correspondents; however, it is incomplete, especially for letters in the first four volumes of this series. The originals of letters written to Corcoran by his secretaries, copies of which appear in the Outgoing Letters series, are included in this series only for 1862-1865.
