Scope and Content Note

The Speech File consists of speeches and talks made by Blackburn throughout her career. The Speech File contains informal talks as well as formal presentations made at professional conferences and meetings. The files include both typescript and handwritten speeches as well as background material and Powerpoint presentations in digital format for Blackburn's speeches.


Material types include correspondence, email, memoranda, charts, drafts of speeches and talks, notes, background material, printed matter, and digital files.

Arranged into two groups: background material and chronological file. The background material is arranged alphabetically by topic.
