The Jerry Valburn Collection on Duke Ellington consists of printed music, photographs, programs, promotional material, articles, clippings, and other items. These materials trace Duke Ellington's professional career as a bandleader and his rise as a prominent figure in the development of jazz and its history.

Henry P. Joslyn was an American advertising agent and self-taught musician who composed symphonic and chamber works intended for concert halls. The Henry P. Joslyn Music Manuscripts consist of scores, parts, and sketches for 25 of his named works, as well as dozens of sketches. Most of these items are holographs with some copyist items as well. There are also several items of correspondence, a program, and an article written by Joslyn.

Louis M. Kruger was a trombone player, violist, and dance orchestra leader in Washington, D.C., during the Gilded Age (roughly 1870-1900). His small performance library primarily consists of printed scores and parts for dance and theater orchestra and several manuscript works for band.

Allesandro Liberati (1847-1927) was an Italian-born American cornetist, bandmaster, and composer. After making his public debut at age fourteen, he had extensive musical and military careers in Italy, Canada, and eventually the United States. This collection contains manuscript and printed scores and parts, iconography, books, correspondence, clippings, and other assorted personal papers from Allesandro's life, as well as several documents from his daughter, Speranza Liberati.

Sammy Nestico Papers
Sammy Nestico (1924-2021) was an American jazz composer, arranger, and conductor. With a career spanning more than eight decades, he published approximately 600 arrangements and original compositions, released twelve solo albums, and conducted or composed for numerous collaborative efforts. This collection primarily consists of printed and copyist scores and parts for his solo albums, jazz ensembles, concert band, chamber ensembles, string orchestra, and chorus.
Nevada Folklife Archive
This collection consists of photographs, recordings, and field notes documenting diverse culture, traditions, and communities in Nevada. Sponsored by the Nevada Arts Council Folklife Program, collection materials were collected by staff folklorists beginning in 1985.
William A. Newland and Charles Zeuner Collection of Music
Primarily music (printed and manuscript) for piano, 2 or 4 hands, and songs, with a concentration in sacred vocal works in Latin and English. (The music in Latin may represent the only known source of pre-Cäcilienverein 19th-century American Catholic Church music.) Composers range from Mozart and Rossini to George F. Root and Oliver Shaw. The collection contains the largest extant source of music by Charles Zeuner which was purchased by Newland after Zeuner's death.

Alex North (1910-1991) was an American composer of music for feature films, dance, theater productions, and the concert hall. He brought a new and uniquely "American" sound to his works. The collection contains performance materials for dance works, incidental music for theater productions, songs, musical comedies and revues, and concert works. A small amount of scripts, promotional materials, and clippings are also included.
